The Move to AZ in Review
What does it mean that I moved to Phoenix and then moved back to IL? Partly it does mean that I moved back to please a large group of people and fulfill expecations. Now, I think that this is sad on my part, but forgiveable. I made a choice long ago to make other people happy above myself and that has cost me a lot. Oh well. I take full responsiblity for that. You see moving from Phoenix, meant moving from LA, and there's the rub.
However, there are benefits.
Firstly pale skin. Oh that sun. I am a vampire/hobbit. UNDERGROUND! Hell disk in the sky is not as bad in LA, but still. Then there is the fact that our white car gets clean when it rains here (unlike, you guessed it, the Wild West). Having access to most of my family and friends is nice, but it seems the lack of money or whatever to visit LA/AZ and likewise for me to get around and visit is the same and is preventing much contact.
The best thing is that I am here to take care of my grandma. This entails roughly thirty hours a week of work including daily laundry, dishwashing, food preparation, errand running, etc. It also means taking care of her bills, shopping, and every whim! Really, I don't mind. She's 86. If I was not here it would be the nursing home and that scares me. What have I gotten myself into now?!
Above all I know my mistake has been trying to please other people and then myself. When really I should be living my life according to the will of GOD! Ooops! Boy I crapped that one up, eh? Oh well.
