Life in Review

I believe in living life to the fullest, taking chances, grabbing at opportunities and the like. So I wonder if I'm living up to my standard. Certainly there have been things I have not done due to fear or wanting to please other people (the latter being too strong of a motivation) so let me examine what I have done so far.

~*~ Flown to Hawaii twice
~*~ Been to Disneyworld, Sea World, and Busch Gardens
~*~ Travelled to over half the states in the union.
~*~ Visited the Vicksburg Civil War Site.
~*~ Headed up the great American Road Trip to Grand Canyon, Roswell, LA, etc.
~*~ Lived in Beijing and Shenzhen China teaching English for 7 mos.
~*~ Caved rough style with rappelling and climbing in China and US.
~*~ Learned to swim, been a vegan, vegetarian, and a omnivore.
~*~ Acted and sang in musicals, a theatre troupe, and church productions.
~*~ Won writing awards and money for writing $$$
~*~ Studied all major world religions and found Christianity most logical and true.
~*~ So I've been a Jewish wannabe, Unitarian, Wiccan (ran a group on campus), etc.
~*~ Obtained my BA with hopes to a future MA and Phd
~*~ Travelled to upstate New York in the fall. GORGEOUS!
~*~ Lived in LA and Phoenix
~*~ Visited Hong Kong and been on a ocean cruiser in the harbor there.
~*~ Been graced by God to do on campus evangelism at odd moments and venues.
~*~ Written for an indy newspaper and acted as president of a animal rights group on campus.
~*~ Can speak passing German and basic Chinese

Now why did I make this list? It's not to brag. It's because I've been depressed and questioning what I'm doing with my life and where it's going. Desperately I want to believe that God has much more living and wonderful, wild chances in store for me. I want to look back at the adventuress that I am and use this to push through fear and conquer more in my life. I want to travel to Europe, Isreal, Antarctica and not be scared to death of getting in a plane. There is still so much of the US I want to see like New York City, New Orleans, Seattle, and D.C. I want to travel across Canada. Everywhere I go Lord God let me be a light shining like a star with love and patience, I pray. Basically I want to recapture my sense of trust, wonder, and thirst for risk taking. . .
